Check out the Rigs

Swung by to visit with James Flatman of Alchemy Bikes today as I received an update that two of our frames were completely welded. Here are a couple pics of Jed's and my bike.

Super Stoked to see the masterpiece that James and I came up with in the flesh. It should go to paint (actually powder-coat) this week.

Yep, That's Mine!

That's Jed's

Almost there. Headed to the Paint shop in Colorado (Spectrum Powder Works)

The Process of Bike Building

I rode over to Alchemy Bicycles today to play with Bendi and watch James build up Joseph's new frame. It was the first time I'd been around an aluminum bike being built. The frequency of welds was higher pitched than what I've heard for steel. While I was there, James mitered the downtube, chainstays, and tacked the dropouts to the chainstays.

Team Bikes...the Raw Material

Through the process of having our new team bike made by Austin Custom Builder James Flatman of Alchemy Bicycles, we'll be bringing you little shots of them being made. Since James puts so much hard work and TLC into the rigs he builds we figured a little behind the scenes action would be great. Plus we're pretty stoked to see the bikes that we'll be riding being made first hand...Thanks James, for letting us hover for a while!!
